 By Joe_Ball An important concept to define might be the concept of freedom. What the heck is that? I’ve been quietly studying this concept of freedom for myself and thought I’d make a note of it. I see freedom as an ability, as a possiblity, as an avenue of action. With a new car comes the freedom of travel; it’s an avenue of increased activity. With connections to the right people comes the possibility of a greatly increased shpere of action. The examples can go on and on. I look at freedom as an elevated existence and the resultant resposibilities that go with it. For me, freedom is not the same thing as escaping responsibility, in fact, it’s totally the opposite. With freedoms come greater responsibilities. Now that you have a new car, don’t you need to maintain it? Purpose fits in here somewhere. If my purposes consisted of walking my dog in the best, and most expansive park, and there was a park across the street, then i would technically have all the freedoms i desired. But, if i hated walking the damn dog, and thought of it as a chore, then the park across the street wouldn’t look seem so exciting. But there is one more scenario that i’ve been noticing… What if everyone had the purpose to create a better life, and the freedoms, avenues, and possibilities for enhancement exists … NOW? The people that sit at home in mysery while dreaming of one day walking their dog in an expansive park have failed to notice the lack of barbed wire on the park fence, and didnt’ see the ‘free dog’ flyer that was shoved under their windshield wiper. Freedom is action. Freedom consists of taking steps to fullfil your purposes. Freedom may or may not come at the end of the rainbow or at the top of the bridge. The freedoms exist now. Looking at things from this perspective i know for myself that the most rewarding realm of enhancement in society is that area that encourages others to take action and utilize their freedoms. I feel this is a rather broad topic, but here is a more narrow example: My dad made this really awesome documentary. He dreamed it, funded it, filmed it, and edited it. It’s an hour long and it tells an amzing story. It’s an example of someone utilizing the freedoms that exist and fullfilling a purpose. By Joe Ball For various reasons i find it difficult to tell everybody what i really think. Only when people are responsive and willing to hear my rant/preaching will i let it go. With the beautiful invention of video blogging, I can let it out without any concern of whether people are listening or want to hear what i have to say in the first place. This video was actually a video response of sorts. I was using Brooke’s template, something i think everyone should do. Everyone may not have an audience to say what they really think, and as a result there are likely many people that wonder, “is there anyone else like me?” or “is there anyone that cares about this issue?”. By saying what is really on your mind and making a video of it or using any other mass communication channel, you have a chance of ’safeguarding of all that relates to or affects the life of a person’ (def of: Save and World) Instead of getting overly philosophical about the whole thing, I’ll tell you about the process of making your first video blog. This is an author’s post by Joe Ball:  I added the following video based on another’s strong recommendation to watch it. I didn’t watch it at first, but put it up here anyway. Here is what i initially wrote: ‘This is a video that i recommend you watch cover to cover, that is, if you are interested or concerned with the U.S. government. This is not a solution necessarily, i just thought people should be informed in case anyone wants to take responsibility.’ After 2.2 million other people watched it, i went ahead a hit the play button.
