Observations observed by Joe Ball. Why is it that hard cold fact is not accepted and welcomed in our modern day? If you go up to someone and nonchalantly tell them the hard cold truth, do you think they’ll REALLY listen? Doesn’t seem common to me. The pill of truth usually has to be candy coated and administered in the middle of a story or caper. But then there’s the corporate propaganda that you have to weed through first: “Jiffy brand laundry detergent works like a charm.” “Your local Chevron station loves to see you smile” “Drink seven up and pay zero money down” Corporate propaganda is like miracle grow for the weeds and death chemicals for the petunias. Continue reading Hard Cold Truth vs Soft Warm Falsity Look, I’ve heard many analogies to the matrix; I think it’s actually kind of ridiculous at how well that movie came so close to mimicking the truth. That it did in fact serve as an analogy to what’s going on is demonstrated by the fact that multitudes could relate. Alas, I still don’t know which pill is which. Was it the red one or the blue one that was the waker-upper? I honestly don’t know. Regardless of the pill color, how does one get someone else to pick the right one? It seems most people want to live in a peaceful society; live in blissful surroundings. So how do you go about getting peoples heads out of the clouds? If people are pretending really hard that the matrix is real, what do you do? Submitted by Joe Determining what is right and wrong, good and evil has been the question of philosophers for eons. I’ll fill you in on what i have learned on this. A person doesn’t just live for himself. He lives on a planet and he has to deal with other people. His actions can’t be considered good if he is destroying the survival of himself or others around him. If he robs a store, it may help his own survival but does not help the survival of the community or the society. Let’s look at the initial question in terms of survival vs non-survival ’survival’ actually has 8 divisions or dynamics. One is the survival for one’s self. this is one’s urge to survive as a man. Eating would be considered a survival act and not brushing ones teeth can be construed as the opposite. The second is survival through sex or the family unit. Some ideologies stress this one out of proportion. But considering what is best for the family or the other partner is good whereas an action that inhibits this dynamic is bad. The third is the group. This can be your school, work, or whatever. It is the group unit. Socialism went astray went they put over emphasis on the group dynamic. “Everything is for the state” The forth is the whole human race. War protesters are into this dynamic. The fifth is all living things. This is where you get tree hugging and so forth. The sixth dynamic is that of all material universe. Matter, energy space and time. Alternative energy enthusiast is here. The seventh is the spirit or the spiritual universe. This is where the psychic is putting their survival urge. The eighth dynamic is that of God or the Supreme Being. Some people are just stuck in this one not really considering the others. You can’t always make a decision that is optimum for all these dynamics. But a decision that helps the survival of the majority of dynamics is considered a good, constructive act. A decision that hurts the majority of dynamics is considered evil or bad. You have to weigh it out and you will clearly see what right and wrong, good and evil are all about This is an author’s post by Carl Watts: No one wins the blame game. For example, you make a mistake or something goes wrong. So you blame someone or something. “I crashed the car because you played the radio too loud!” Blame is frequently used to explain poor job performance. “My boss is such a jerk, I can’t get my work done.” Blame is also used for personal problems. “I’m depressed because of the tragedies in the news.” Why You Can’t Win The Blame Game When you blame someone or something else, you actually Continue reading Who do you Blame? |
