I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, while he was out promoting his health care reform initiative. I requested 30 minutes given the scope and detail of my inquiry; they said I could have 20. Twenty minutes, 1200 seconds, not a lot of time to question the President about one of the most important events in our nation’s history. The following is a transcript of our remarkable discussion.
Charlie Sheen – Good afternoon Mr. President, thank you so much for taking time out of your demanding schedule.
President Barack Obama – My pleasure, the content of your request seemed like something I should carve out a few minutes for.
CS – I should point out that I voted for you, as your promises of hope and change, transparency and accountability, as well as putting government back into the hands of the American people, struck an emotional chord in me that I hadn’t felt in quite some time, perhaps ever.
PBO – And I appreciate that Charlie. Big fan of the show, by the way.
CS – Sir, I can’t imagine when you might find the time to actually watch my show given the measure of what you inherited.
PBO – I have it Tivo’d on Air Force One. Nice break from the traveling press corps. (He glances at his watch) not to be abrupt or to rush you, but you have 19 minutes left.
I like the sound of that title- It rings well in me ears.
I got to wondering what the politicians really mean when they say “we are working hard to come up with a solution to these hard economic times” What is so hard about printing money? It’s one of the easiest things to do- I’m sure there are people who have rich parents and whenever they need money they say ” Daddy, can have another more couple thousand? ” the parents give it too them. Well, our wonderful, fantastical superiorly smarter than us Congress and Senate is asking the Fed Reserve ” Can I please have a few more trillion- don’t worry, we’ll pay you back soon- our good ‘ol constituents voted for us knowing how smart we are and that we’ll take care of them. We only need to increase taxes , mostly on the rich who already have too much anyways. And we’ll step up our collection efforts too with “random” audits. We know it will take generations to pay it back but we need the money now. The auto manufacturers are in trouble and we’re so smart that we know what will happen if they don’t get their money. We know for a fact that the only people who can possibly make cars are the Big 3. What would we do without Chryser? I remember my first Chrysler- oh, the memories. We’re so smart we know that all those people who are going to lose their homes are the victims and should be rewarded for their smart decisions to buy homes they knew they couldn’t afford. We’re so smart we know that when we overtax the people and businesses, that they’ll figure it out- they just need to work harder- like US.”
It was an eye opener and worth a read. It’s largely about an area of the ocean being preserved and not fished and how the whole ecosystem is back to what it should be (or probably close). I was impressed by what one guy and small group achieved.
It’s a good example of what we need to do- To me , the Ocean is too important to Life’s balance and people need to know what it use to be like- before we changed it! Sure we can use it, but a good analogy might be the farmer who rotates his crops so that the soil is still good every year (I’m no expert but I’m sure there is a proper way). Well, the same with the Ocean- there’s no reason we can’t stop overfishing and polluting it.
I guess spending 100s of billions of dollars on 1,000 overseas military bases policing the world and giving billions to car manufacturers is more important. While we’re at it let’s print another trillion dollars or so in order that all of us can have Health Care. Why stop there? This money printing is getting real fun- I love it, I can’t stop. OOOOOBBBBBBAAAAAMMMMMAAAA- show me the MONEY!!!!! Lets’ earmark another Bill so we can print some more for the American Medical Association so they can do some more studies on “Embitterment Disorder”- I think it’s spreading real fast these days!
Where can I get my hands on one of those Money Printing Machines? I must have missed it in Economics 101.
I added the following video based on another’s strong recommendation to watch it. I didn’t watch it at first, but put it up here anyway. Here is what i initially wrote:
‘This is a video that i recommend you watch cover to cover, that is, if you are interested or concerned with the U.S. government. This is not a solution necessarily, i just thought people should be informed in case anyone wants to take responsibility.’
After 2.2 million other people watched it, i went ahead a hit the play button. My new message is:
‘This is a video that i recommend you watch cover to cover. There is ABSOLUTELY a solution in case anyone wants to take responsibility. Also i think Krs1 is awesome.’
I’m a pilot flying private jets in India. And, wow, does the world need some saving. Most of the population over here (and there’s 1.1 BILLION in this country) don’t have basic necessities like running water. But as the economy of this nation has improved (the result of smarter financial decisions of the government) so has the lifestyle for millions. Smarter governments can help this planet. Push for it.
