There aren’t any specific rules really. There is the guideline, but other than that it’s an open slate.
Here are a few examples:
Beautiful pictures- Yes
Uplifting stories- Great
Logical rant- Sure thing
Validations of others- Awesome
Poems, quotes- Yes please
Situations that need immediate action- OK
Factual data in regards to what is really going on- By all means
Your ideals, how things ought to be- Fantastic
Promoting a helpful business- I’m interested
Little known facts or knowledge- Please
Actions that make a difference in the environment- Definitely
Let me tell you how I decide what to write here. First off, the mind is a super computer. It collects infinite information, speculations, observations, perceptions, imaginations. All that data gets stored. Then what? The information is sorted and categorized so it can be used. Continue reading “What should I post on this site?” (glimpse into my mind)
For various reasons i find it difficult to tell everybody what i really think. Only when people are responsive and willing to hear my rant/preaching will i let it go. With the beautiful invention of video blogging, I can let it out without any concern of whether people are listening or want to hear what i have to say in the first place.
This video was actually a video response of sorts. I was using Brooke’s template, something i think everyone should do. Everyone may not have an audience to say what they really think, and as a result there are likely many people that wonder, “is there anyone else like me?” or “is there anyone that cares about this issue?”. By saying what is really on your mind and making a video of it or using any other mass communication channel, you have a chance of ’safeguarding of all that relates to or affects the life of a person’ (def of: Save and World)
Why is it that hard cold fact is not accepted and welcomed in our modern day?
If you go up to someone and nonchalantly tell them the hard cold truth, do you think they’ll REALLY listen? Doesn’t seem common to me. The pill of truth usually has to be candy coated and administered in the middle of a story or caper. But then there’s the corporate propaganda that you have to weed through first:
“Jiffy brand laundry detergent works like a charm.”
“Your local Chevron station loves to see you smile”
Look, I’ve heard many analogies to the matrix; I think it’s actually kind of ridiculous at how well that movie came so close to mimicking the truth. That it did in fact serve as an analogy to what’s going on is demonstrated by the fact that multitudes could relate.
Alas, I still don’t know which pill is which. Was it the red one or the blue one that was the waker-upper? I honestly don’t know.
Regardless of the pill color, how does one get someone else to pick the right one?
It seems most people want to live in a peaceful society; live in blissful surroundings.
So how do you go about getting peoples heads out of the clouds?
If people are pretending really hard that the matrix is real, what do you do?
I have seen much research into what is wrong with society, government and the world, all seemingly out of proportion to the successes being researched and known. Even when the successful actions are made known, the actual results are not promoted quite enough.
Making the successes known is the ultimate secret weapon. It is so unbelievably destructive to the titanium coated fear blanket that encapsulates and impedes progress.
So here is how, I mean really, how: Make successes known.
Here is a list I came up with off the top of my head. (and not really giving a crap how it’s written or sounds)
Pr is a term that I wasn’t born knowing. I don’t know why. Perhaps it was because my mom didn’t use the term while I was coming out feet first.
As I started to get a feel for this term, associated thoughts of media, lies, and business suits came to mind. ‘Public relations’ is what pr stands for. And though I am not an expert in the field, at least I can form an opinion and pr it.
Wait, is it a verb too? Well yes, I just used it as a verb. It’s the action of using pr technology.
Pr can be used to convince mom that the egg plant cookies were, in fact, eaten and enjoyed none the less. Mom smiles while the exterior plants whither.
Government has become very adept at using pr in this limited fashion. Imagine: the larger part of the world could actually be led to believe that a war on terror is taking place, when an entirely different war is going down.
Do not confuse deceit with pr. Deceit is a highly limited tool and has many boobie traps. If you see pr for what it really is, then you’ll see that deceit need not be included.
So what is pr really about? That’s a question that I have a great definition for; just not with me at the moment. Here’s my opinion about pr though: Continue reading Pr & The World
This is an author’s post by Joe Ball (Warning: this is personalized and it may offend)
This is a question that has come my way several times. At first I just wondered why I’m being asked this, I mean, isn’t it obvious. Do you want to help save the world or not? At first I thought that it might be a question that came up based on the site changes and a possible confusion that might have developed as to the direction of this latest project of mine. The more I got engulfed in creating this site, the more a few people started to ask me, ‘what’s it about’ rather than ignoring my strong urge for their participation.
Then I looked at the question a little more and did one of my famous mental evaluations (well not really that famous). I will try to explain the thought process, but the order will be all wrong, because the thought happened instantly and consisted of many other observations and opinions. I will try though. Forgive me if it is all too strange and you have no idea what I’m talking about. Continue reading “What’s It About”
