I am Joe's stepdad, aka "Dad #2". I have known him since he was about 7 years old. Dad to his 'little brother' Christopher, and proud of their accomplishments and who they have become as young men. How many dads can boast that their son has a website and Dad can post his research. Never, ever underestimate the impact you can have on a young man or woman's life in the simplest acts of teaching, kindness, and just listening. Back in the fall of 1994 and spring of 1995 I set up my woodworking shop and tools in the garage at our home on harmony ridge and taught Joe how to use them, and then turned him and his mom loose, and the rest is history as they say. The student has surpassed, and has now become the new master. And for that I am grateful beyond measure. Joe Ball is an artisan of the highest order and a master carpenter and a wonderful son and brother. And his younger brother Chris is pursuing the culinary arts with the same love and determination his brother Joe pursued woodworking and building. What more could a dad ask for??
